Petals of the older, larger flower held many water droplets in the light rain, while the petals of the younger flower in the image (and those of other younger flowers in the forest) did not hold many droplets, perhaps because the younger flowers had waxier petals.

All of these digital images are enhanced; the first image is the least enhanced.
