Above are the stems of Opuntia humifera (Pickly Pear Cactus, Cactaceae). The leaves are of Erythronium americanum (Yellow Trout Lily, Liliaceae). The pink flowers in the last figure are of Claytonia virginica (Spring Beauty, Portulacaceae).
