Study site S is primarily covered with Sensitive Fern and Poison Ivy (Dyke Marsh Wildlife Preserve, Virginia, April 2001). Sensitive Ferns with their new yellow-green leaves are in the foreground. A Poison Ivy Vine is obvious on one tree trunk. Flowering Dogwoods with white bracts are in the background.
