Additional Information: Figures 1-3. Views of the same snake. This snake was resting after three rainy days. This species is also called DeKay's Snake. The Northern Brown Snake (with its several subspecies) is native to southern Maine through Virginia west from Minnesota through Texas and eastern Mexico (Conant 1958, 125). Reference Conant, R. 1958.
