There has been a significant loss of trees in Montgomery County, Maryland, in the last several decades.

This photo essay shows the sad tree loss on Winnebago Road, Bethesda, Maryland.

Figures 1–9 regard removal of a house with many large trees on its lot, felling of the trees, and replacement of the original house with two new houses minus the great trees.

Figures 10–15 regard removal of another house in 2007 and felling of grand Northern Red Oaks and a Tuliptree on the lot.
